Welcome back to TrulyIndulgent! Today I wanted to write about my bedside table. I feel like everyone has a little area near their bed where they keep essentials and I wanted to share these items with you. I have had all these items on my bedside table for months now and I rarely ever change anything.

my bedside table
1. Lip balm
I always need my lip balm by me before going to bed. I use three different ones which all help my chapped lips: Blistex Complete Moisture lip balm, Nivea Lip Butter Raspberry Rose Kiss, and C.O.Bigelow Apothecaries Mentha Lip Shine. I actually really like the C.O.Bigelow product as a lip gloss throughout the day because it is incredibly glossy and makes your lips tingle because of the minty flavor.
2. hand cream
I love hand cream for when my hands are feeling dry..duh, but also just the smell of my Victoria’s Secret Coconut Milk Hand Cream makes me want to lather my hands all day long. It just smells so light and fresh, not to mention I love the smell of coconut products. Having this product in arm’s reach makes it perfect right before bed or right after a hot shower.
3. head phones
I like to listen to music in bed or FaceTime my friends or my boyfriend in bed. Headphones are a must on your bedside table.
Another common one, but obviously important. I have all my chargers right near my bed because I always use my laptop on my bed and my phone in bed at night. Also, use my phone as an alarm in the morning so it has to be within arm’s reach.
Gum is an essential for me anywhere and everywhere. I literally keep it everywhere so why not on my bedside table?
Another common one but hey, everyone needs to blow their nose and sneeze here and there!
7. hair ties
I have 10 hair ties on my nightstand. TELL ME WHY? All different colors and styles. Obviously, they’re important to me LOL
8. everyday jewelry pieces
I like to keep the jewelry I wear on a daily basis on my bedside table to make sure I actually put it on in the morning…otherwise I’ll forget about them. I have one ring and one necklace I wear regularly.
My friend, Carla (shout out to this girl), got me this journal as a present one day. We were both suppose to write in it and then look back at it after months and years to see what we wrote. Each day asks a question “What did you eat today?” “Who was the last person you texted?” “What did you do today?” I love this journal and can’t wait to look back at it 5 years from now.
I recently bought a diffuser about a month ago. I heard it helped with relieving stress and just gives an overall good aroma for well being and contentment. I purchased my diffuser, Syntus 150ml Essential Oil Diffuser, from Amazon as well as essential oils. I add a few drops of an essential oil to the diffuser and turn it on before bed. After searching online and through Pinterest, I found essential oil remedies for a good sleep, for congestion when sick, for headaches, you name it. I have gotten into the habit of using lavender and eucalyptus essential oils before bed and I absolutely love it. It makes me incredibly relaxed and calm, perfect right before bed or when stressed. I completely recommend it.
