My School Night Routine: College Edition. How I get ready for bed and what I do at night to prep for the next day of school. Some organizational tips and tricks for college girls.

Hey guys! Long time no talk. I’ve been super busy this semester with sorority life, pharmacy school, boyfriend, family, etc. HAVE NO FEAR, I’M BACK! I’m so excited to be sharing a new post for you all!

School has been tough but we’re all slowly getting through it. I thought I’d share my night routine after watching IamJustaMakeupLover on Youtube, you can watch that video here.

Night Routine – College Edition

My School Night Routine: College Edition. How I get ready for bed and what I do at night to prep for the next day of school. Some organizational tips and tricks for college girls.

5 pm

My last class on Thursdays ends at 5 so around 5 is when I usually grab dinner. I know some of you may think its super early but I don’t usually eat breakfast..sigh.. so I have a late lunch and early dinner. My dinner usually consists of school food since I live on campus..another sigh. I get a wrap, sandwich from Subway, or a rice bowl. Those three are my go-to food choices recently.

6 pm

After eating I always catch up on homework while looking through social media every few minutes and answering back to text messages. It can be really hard to not use my phone for long periods of time so I give myself 5-10 minutes to complete something, then I’ll check my phone, then continue homework for 5-10 mins, and repeat. That way I don’t hate myself for not using my phone..I’m addicted. Homework usually takes up a good amount of time so I’ll do that for a few hours.

7 pm

Still doing homework……

8 pm

Around 8 pm is when I get in the shower. The whole showering, getting dressed, and getting ready for bed process takes about an hour. I’ll shower for about 15-20 mins (it’s really relaxing to have the hot water run down your body after a long, stressful day. Use the shower to destress!). After the shower, I’ll put on my robe and begin my night skin care routine (I can make that a post in and of itself) which basically consists of a cleanser, moisturizer, an acne treatment, and moisturizing my lips (they get incredibly chapped during this weather out here in NYC). I’ll usually sit in my robe for a good 20 mins just on my phone, talking to my suitemates and relaxing until I finally put on some pjs, right now thats just a t-shirt I bought from Lake George and some comfy sweatpants from PINK Victoria’s Secret.

9 pm

By the time 9 o’clock comes around I start to pack up my school bag for the next day. I always like to be organized and prepared the day before. I plan out what homework needed to be done, what quiz I have, and/or what event I have going on. Based on that information, I put the necessities in my backpack. FYI don’t forget to check the weather, there has been more than a few times that I forgot my umbrella because I didn’t check the forecast. Anyways, I pack my books and any other necessary essentials for the next day. Not only that but I also plan out my outfit for the next day. I feel like this saves a lot of time in the morning when you’re rushing and have no idea what to put on. I’d rather take 10 mins to figure out what I’m going to wear at night rather than 10 mins at 6:30 am before class.

10 pm

This is when I panic about the next day. School gets so stressful and I feel like I’m always forgetting something. I go over everything in my head all over again and make sure everything is perfect. Around this time is when I get into bed with my computer and/or homework.

11 pm

By 11 pm I’m practically ready to pass out. My roommate and I turn off the lights and “try” to go to sleep. But not this girl. I’m usually on my phone for another 30-45 mins literally doing nothing but going on every social media site…twice and playing games like solitaire and cookie jam (pretty much the same as the famous app candy crush).

12 am

You probably thought I was going to sleep around 11:45 right? Nope. Now is the time I call my boyfriend on Skype and talk about our day for a few minutes just to catch up at the end of the day. Sometimes you just need to hear someone’s voice instead of text messages all day long. And then, goodnight!

*On a more eventful day, I would be going to the gym for zumba, meeting up with a friend for lunch, in a study group session, or at a sorority event.*

  1. Look who’s back! Glad you finally had a little bit time to blog. I would so much more sleep time if I actually went to sleep when I get on my bed instead of scrolling through social media. Picking out an outfit the day before really saves a lot of time but I always forget!
