As a college girl myself on a very low budget, buying expensive makeup is not an option. I love finding great products at the drug store that work just as great as the more expensive, high end brands. There are tons of brands that are cheap and can make your makeup look flawless if you apply it well. Here are some budget friendly makeup items to ensure you don’t break the bank.

From the drugstore I have found tons of great foundations that are able to cover up my acne, dark circles, and redness. I’ve tried Neutrogena’s Skin Clearing Liquid Makeup, L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation, and L’Oreal’s True Match Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup. At the moment, I am using L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Matte 24HR Foundation because I heard its a dupe for a Nars foundation. The difference in price is a whopping $37!!! Save yourself the money and use a cheaper alternative!
I am a huge fan of NYX concealers. They have tons of shades for any skin tone. I usually buy the lightest shade there is and use that under my eyes to brighten that area. It really does work and there is no need to dish out $30 for high end concealers.
I have been using Ulta’s brand of powder for years now. I tried it once and have repurchased multiple times. It’s only $10 and it will literally last you forever. I don’t wear makeup everyday right now but when I was in high school it would be a daily thing. I only hit pan on it a few months ago…in college. This stuff works!!!
I feel like Rimmel Natural Bronzer are actually pretty popular and I’ve seen them in tons of people’s makeup collections. It’s under $5 and it works great. This bronzer is actually quite pigmented so just make sure to use a light hand when applying. The color is really amazing for such a cheap price.
Yet another L’Oreal classic. I’ve been loving the L’Oreal True Match Super Blendable Blush in the color Baby Blossom. It really is true that this blush is incredibly blendable and buildable. This shade in particular is very light but after applying a few coats, the color turns out beautiful. This blush really makes your cheeks look naturally pink!
The drugstore actually has some of the best mascaras. I’ve been using Maybelline’s Colossal and CoverGirl’s LashBlast Volume mascaras for years now. I recommend them to my friends all the time. They’re great for achieving volume and length. Best of both worlds? I think so!!!
For eye liner, I’ve been using CoverGirl Queen Eye Liner for YEARSSSSSS!! I just keep buying it over and over again. It’s a gel like yet pencil like substance. This liner gives a very smoked out look. Sometimes I don’t like my eyeliner to be really precise and winged out. A smoked out eyeliner gives a completely different affect to your eyes and it’s a nice way to change up your look once in a while.
For lips, I have recently become obsessed with the new NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick. They remind me of Kylie Jenner’s new lip kit for a third of the cost. The lipstick applies very smooth but dries out in a few minutes to a stained look. The colors are so pigmented and beautiful. I highly recommend you try these liquid lipsticks for yourself.
I hope this was incredibly helpful to those of you looking to find budget friendly makeup. What are some of your favorite drugstore makeup products? I’d love to try out some new ones!
