Back to school is upon us guys! Seriously, where did the summer go? I feel like it was just yesterday I was finishing up all my finals and saying goodbye to so many college friends. This summer has been amazing and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me!
As for Back-to-School, for some of us, planning our outfits is just as important as decorating and organizing. I always have such a hard time picking out my first day of school outfit. It’s an insane amount of pressure. You want to look professional to show your teachers you’re serious about your education, but you also want to look cute and comfy. This is school after all and we are sitting for hours at a time. Comfort is definitely key.
I’ve come up for three school outfit ideas that will hopefully give you some inspiration to get dressed up for your first day of school this fall, whether it be high school or college.
school outfit ideas
comfy & casual
For this outfit, I decided that I wanted comfort to come first. Therefore, I started out this outfit with leggings. I personally find leggings to be the most comfortable type of pant. I also love that these leggings in particular have zippers at the bottom which gives them a little more style than the regular black pant. Next, I put on a plain, loose tank. You could go with a more busy pattern to spice up the look but I love neutrals. Lastly, I picked a light cardigan to throw over top. I love this cardigan because I literally throw it over everything whether I’m wearing a shirt and shorts or a really nice dress. It’s a great accent piece!
sweet & sassy
This outfit is my go-to quite frequently at college. It’s so easy and you probably already have these pieces in your closet. I based the entire outfit off of the shoes because they are my absolute favorite for the fall months. They’re wedge booties and I’m in love with them. They’re really easy to pair some jeans and a tank with. It looks like you pulled off an amazing outfit without even trying, the shoes do all the work for you 😉
girly & fun
This outfit is probably my favorite one out of the three. I love putting on a cute dress and just completely rocking it. I specifically like skater dresses like these because they’re tight at the torso and flow out at the waist. This style just looks so great on so many different body types. I paired the dress with converse to dress down the outfit a bit. Remember, we are going to class, not brunch, so comfy and cute is essential.
I love finding outfit inspiration online, so I hope these outfits were inspirational to you. What do you like to wear to class?
